Getting Help on Campus |
| Activate a pull
station - In the event of an emergency, do not hesitate
to activate a pull station. Once a pull station has been
activated a signal travels to our Police Dispatch Centre
at the Trent Building through telephone wire. This centre
is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. |
| Call extension 2000 - This extension is the emergency extension on campus which goes to the Police Dispatch Centre. This phone line will be answered above all other incoming phone lines. |
| Use any blue Telephone -
The blue telephones are all over campus inside and outside
buildings. Just push the button and you will be talking to
a police dispatcher. |
The emergency button on any Bell Telephone - All Bell telephones on campus has a "UofG Police" button. This will dial the emergency extension (2000) at no cost. |
| Elevator Phone -
In all on campus elevators there is either a telephone or call
box inside the elevator. Once the button is pushed, you are
able to talk to a Student Housing Porter or you can dial extension
52000. |
| Residence Call Box -
At the entrance to any residence you will locate a yellow call
box. Once the button is pushed, you are able to talk to a Student
Housing Porter or you can dial extension 2000 for assistance. |
